Charles Gayle (born February 28, 1939) is a free jazz saxophonist, pianist, bass clarinetist, and percussionist. He lives in New York and prefers to practice outside rather then in his apartment. Incredible music, check it out and buy it here: http://www.amazon.com/Charles-Gayle/e/B000AQ0JO6?tag=lastfmartiststore-20
Shot with the Lensbaby Composer with Tilt Transformer at F4 and the Voigtlander Nokton 25mm f0.95 (at f 1.4) mounted on my Panasonic GH1 . Those two lenses make a great portrait kit, the Lensbaby (equiv 80mm on a full frame sensor), very light, small and crazy sharp at the center, and the Nokton (which amazes me every time I shoot with it). Love them both. Can’t wait for my Gh2 to arrive. Shot raw, converted to b/w with slight contrast enhancement ACR.

Hey Mike, you have some very inspiring work up mate! Your site is fresh and cool and a real pleasure to visit.

I see you’ve been on the subway and that Nokton has shone and glowed.

Have you taken your talents to Washington Square P or the West 4th St courts?
    Been up in Harlem yet?

    take care… love your work
