Walk On The Wet Side: Lower East Side, NYC: Hurricane Irene Aftermath: Panasonic GH2 in DIY Hurricane proof housing

Yeah, Irene passed without sending as all to hell and we are grateful! I walked south along the East River Park and turned back right before the Brooklyn Bridge.
Eery light conditions and very wet for the first half of my walk. Tested my setup

yesterday in heavy rain and it passed! Doubtful it would survive a dip into water but what do you expect, I only had cheap ziploc bags! The GH2 with the 14mm pancake was attached to a lightweight tripod center column with the G1177M ball head.

I am not aware of another large sensor cam (this will change very soon) that allows us to shoot in full manual mode AND fit into a ziploc bag!
