As a weight weenie I rarely take a camera on my bike rides, its exercise after all, I don’t run with a camera either
however, today I got a late start, we had a beautiful day here in NYC and I grabbed my Ricoh GR, what the heck, my road bike only weighs 14.73 lbs on my digital scale, I can take a camera from time to time, right?
Feels great having something this small and pocketable producing medium format quality, great for landscapes this thing!
You can order your GR from Adorama, andat BH.
Street shot of the day: Vertigo
Snapshot of the day: The Anachronist
One of those lucky shots, if you have been around Union Square on a nice day lately you know how crowded it gets, for a second it looked like the area had been cleared for a professional shoot, until I saw the TLR ![]()
Shot with the Ricoh GR in Snap mode
Should be back in stock any day now at Adorama, andat BH.
Snapshot of the day: Captivated
Washington Square Park: Summer fun
Ever since my first NYC visit many years ago I have been drawn to WSP, the variety of people and activities one encounters in this famous public park at the lower end of 5th Ave qualifies it as a heaven for street photographers. Every time I stroll across WSP it feels like a separate world, a neutral space, detached from the high paced rush one usually encounters on the streets of Manhattan. A place to relax and just hang and chill. The shots below are from a few walks with the Ricoh GR, the Fuji X100s and the Sony RX100II (which I mainly purchased to shoot video) check them out after the break Read the rest of this page >>
