Don’t kid yourself, ladies and gentlemen, it ain’t cheap but this might just be THE tool for us, the guys who were born too early and still remember film
we shall know by the end of the month…
on a personal note, of course I think it is overpriced, but that can be said for a lot of things, smart phones, computers, ski lift tickets, hell, most things are over priced, except milk and standard crusted white bread at Walmart, perhaps, if you know this is the camera you have been waiting for, just order it, think later – if you hate it you can always return it.

Hi Ron, exactly, let’s get back to taking pictures
exiting times though, I have to say it is unfortunate how ugly the silver version looks in their official press photo. I am sure it will look much better in real life. Looking at the dimensions I also just realized it is only about 10% larger then the OMD E-M1, and the price is exactly double of the OMD,
we will have to wait and see….;)
Df dimensions:
5.65 x 4.33 x 2.62 inches WHD.
143.5 x 110.0 x 66.5 mm WHD.
OMD E M1
5.13 x 3.68 x 2.48 inches WHD.
130 x 94 x 63 mm WHD
I was initially excited by the hype but after seeing the entire camera, which isn’t much of a beauty, and the price, which is oh so close to the price of the D800, my balloon has been deflated and I’m back to thinking of the Sony A7 (although it too is ugly and looks half-baked).
For now I will stick with my D800 and Fuji X-e1; and of course my newly CLA’d Mamiya 6.
Time to get back to making images.
