Raymond Verdaguer’s linocuts act like traps for the viewer. Being drawn in by seemingly innocent lines of beauty on closer inspection one realizes the meaning of its content and at that point it is too late, the artist delivered his message like a cut from a concealed knife during a fist fight. Street portrait of the day: The first song after the rain


As I walked back from an appointment in the West Village, I spotted the lonely musician in Washington Square Park, right after a downpour, playing for himself, shot with the Panasonic GH4 and the 14mm wide open.
Not much time these days for gear reviews, swamped with work, got the GH4 for video and didn’t have time yet to try it out properly, ironic, isn’t it? The silent mode and af performance catapult it straight to the top for my type of street shooting, a nice bonus, certainly didn’t expect that. :)
