The Sony NEX 5n is so good it quickly became my favorite “take it always and anywhere” camera. I have been shooting with it for a couple of weeks now and I am confident that it can handle pretty much any situation and deliver excellent results. It is like having a mini 5D2 in my pocket! Yeah, it’s that good! What’s not to like? The silver finish of the lens!

I can’t stand it on these lenses (or any lenses), especially when it comes to street photography. Shiny lenses attract too much attention and scratch easily. Here is a quick fix: Take a MTB inner tube, cut strips, since you will stretch them over the lens barrel and the focusing ring, cut them a bid wider than the size you need, make sure the rubber is clean and chalk free, stretch it over the lens and its done (I also put a rubber strip over the silver bayonet ring on the body). I like the way it looks, feels and protects. I f you always AF you could cut one segment or overlap them and this will weather proof the lens. You can easily find mtb inner tubes on line for a couple of bucks, or swing by a local bike shop and ask them to just give you a punctured one for free! Definitely worth a try.
