If you have been here before, you will remember my post with the Minolta MC 58mm 1.2, love that lens for its bokeh characteristics and the model/camera distance (or lack of it) however, mf isn’t always the best choice, especially if you have a model who really likes to move. Shooting wide open in continuous af mode will certainly produce a bunch of blurry pictures, however, when you nail it, you will be rewarded with an energy in your shots you cannot get when staging.
here is a sample sequence of 6 shots, Polina working the camera, walking back and forth, one blur only :)

    Mike,

Thanks, for showing this. I like the idea of how a model works in her/ his role with the camera. Awareness of space i guess you could call it.

    Be well,

    Laurence

    Mike,

Sort of off topic but any possibilty of showing a 10 frame sequence of a shoot like this. It is more for me to understand relationship of model to lens, model to environment, you and your timing of shutter clicks.

Like not holding down shutter for hit or miss but composing on the moment as it becomes into view.

    Be well

    Laurence
