This shot was taken on one of those rainy days – and I was the only one walking down 7th Avenue-seriously, there was no soul in sight, until I spotted the two Japanese tourists. The tension in their body language, their out of place appearance in front of the soda/candy/cigar landmark called for a classic composition. NYC Underground: It’s the journey, not the destination
If you have been to NYC or live here you know this was a special moment, I am not talking about the subjects discussing the deeper meaning of life but the emptiness surrounding them. This shot was taken on the upper platform of the Union Square subway station, one of the busiest in the city.
