I also use my Nikkor lenses with the Sony FS100/FS700the reason I prefer aperture rings on the lens-although I am using a Nikon G to Nex adapter, it allows me to preset the smallest aperture, for instance f8 or 5.6. The aperture throw on the adapter is quite short and I found myself shooting with smaller apertures then intended, preset the smallest aperture on the lens solved the problem.
