A quick look at my new microphone, finally something for
us DSLR shooters, very light and form fitting. The Rode will definitely stay in my camera bag. I like the integrated shockmount, it works as it should, however it is very easy to undo the rubber bands. Solution, gaffa tape over the corners. Sounds really good and totally outshines built in microphones. The battery indicator is awesome, never worry if your battery will die during the next take, for details download the user manual here. It will be a great choice for close range recordings (interviews, etc) however it will not replace the professional sound man on assignments when sound is crucial.

Thank you.
you only need the adapter plug for the GH2 but this has nothing to do with the hiss noise. turn the levels down and the db setting on the mic to 0 or -10. remove the battery on the mic and replace with a fresh one, if you still have problems you might have a defective mic
Hi, Even i use a canon 5d mark ii, with rode video mic pro. I get a high hiss noise when i connect the mic to the input in the camera without the adapter. Are you sure if i use the adapter that hiss noise will be removed ?? Pl. let me know . thanks a lot..
