As a weight weenie I rarely take a camera on my bike rides, its exercise after all, I don’t run with a camera either however, today I got a late start, we had a beautiful day here in NYC and I grabbed my Ricoh GR, what the heck, my road bike only weighs 14.73 lbs on my digital scale, I can take a camera from time to time, right?
Feels great having something this small and pocketable producing medium format quality, great for landscapes this thing!
You can order your GR from Adorama, andat BH.

Thanks Edwin. Not at all, and I am spoiled being used to fuji colors. White balance is usually spot on, all I do sometimes – punch up saturation. Remember I shoot raw. Jpegs are very plain looking (used to be considered a plus years ago when we had to shoot jpg sometimes because the buffer couldn’t handle raw), not enough punch, if you shoot jpg you can still add saturation in post. This camera shines shooting raw though.
Great photo! I recently got myself a GR (partly because of your blog!). Do you find you have to do a lot of tweaking of the colours in post?
Hey, thanks Andreas! Wow, really nice, especially for that size! I had the second generation OCLV Trek. Loved it. Mine current one is a medium Giant carbon C1 with American Classic wheelset and Red components
Hi Mike, damn! My roadbike is 14.99 lbs. But: It’s size 62 It is a Trek madone with Mavic ultimate wheelset (when racing…). I also like the picture. Greetings from munich!
