Our model Gelila Bekele turned on the heat for our summer editorial. To see the rest…..
The energy she poured into every shot was amazing.
I decided last minute to use the Zeiss 50mm 2.0 (mounted on the 5D2) exclusively for this shoot. Usually I prefer AF lenses for photo shoots. Since my plan was to shoot slow shutter speeds/tripod, I knew from experience MF was the way to go and I prefer the feel of the Zeiss focusing ring over any AF lens. Love the 50mm/2.0, close focusing capability is amazing and the bokeh is very soft up to 4.0. The lens is quite a bit heavier then the Zeiss 50mm 1.4 but a bit more versatile. If you don’t mind lugging the extra weight and MF this is the lens to get. Additional equipment used: My new Oben CC-2310 carbon fiber tripod, and 4 Kino Flo Diva-Lite 400 lights.
