Fuji XF 18mm and XF 27mm firmware update for the X-E2, noticable improvement?

I downloaded and installed the new firmware for the Fuji XF 18mm and for the XF 27mm.
All I can say is wow, it really speeds things up considerably.
If you were hesitant about getting one of the Fuji’s because of sluggish AF performance, you can put those worries away for good. Olympus is still class leading but Fuji has them Olympus boys in sight. If you see them you can catch them ;)
Lots of BLACK FRIDAY deals already up here at Adorama and at BH.

Hi Pizzolog, you are absolutely right, this is definitely a disadvantage, I almost didn’t purchase the lens because of it and it can be quite annoying because it is very easy to accidentally change your aperture via rear thumb dial and you won’t know until you raise the camera to your eye. However, the lens is so small and optically so good that I am willing to live with it for now :)

    Hello Mike Kobal,
Aren’t you disadvantaged shooting The XE-2 with the Fuji 27mm, since this lens does not have an Aperture Ring?
The Joy of shooting The XE-2 is being able to easily see both the Sutter Speed and the Aperture. And, as well as, simply coming off Full Automatic into Aperture Priority by just turning the aperture ring to fit your shooting situation.
It seems you can not do this with the Fuji 27mm lens because it does not have an aperture ring. Perhaps I am misunderstanding something?
I would appreciate your insight on this issue. Thank you.
