Central Park, daylight test footage with Voigtlander Nokton 25mm F0.95 on Panasonic GH1 from Mike Kobal on Vimeo.
After being very impressed with this lens during my night shoot, the question was how good is it in daylight?
Additional gear for this shoot: bean bag, small tripod and a vari filter to control light intensity. The aperture was set to 1.4 for all clips, ISO to 100, shutter speed 1/60. Standard film mode, low contrast, no in camera sharpening, AWB. 720/60p. No color correction in post, just slight contrast enhancement. I like the results, the Nokton lives up to the hype, it is very sharp at 1.4 (except for the extreme corners). If you pay attention from 0:45 to about 0:50 you will notice the optical lens construction reflected in the flare, interesting phenomenon, I have not noticed this on any of my other lenses.

I’m a visual artists that’s working more and more with stop motion and video.
I own a gf1 and I was wondering if I could achieve the same video quality as this clip.
Does the voigtlander adapt to the gf1? I love this camera especially with its pancake lens.
Living in the caribbean (FWI) has some great morning and sunset lights that I’d like to capture in slow motion.
I’ve read that the gf1 is actually filming in 30f/s and not 60. Do you then advise to get a gh1?
