The wild bunch

The wild bunch from Mike Kobal on Vimeo.

The theme was “street” and the temperature 28 degrees. Another photo shoot for Soma magazine.
It was a hectic shoot, we practiced the poses inside, then ran outside, turned blue, executed, the models cursed at the temperature, I apologized for the temperature, then ran back inside. To make things worse, the heat in my building was off. Hot tea worked for about two shots. At the end of the day we had 10 pages and a bunch of video clips. Luckily, the assignment was B/W! No way we could have shot in those conditions and expected pleasant skin tones. To see the photo story, click here, Street issue.Nikon D90 with 17-35mm on a Davis&Sanford tripod with Fluid Head FM 18.2, PP, FCP. 1. Very impressive video work! I never would have guessed you weren’t using a big fancy million dollar video camera!

  2. Thanks Heather. The Video Quality is really quite good. The Sensor in the camera is a lot larger than in $$$$$pro cameras. It depends on what you intend to shoot. It lacks many professional features and is most likely not suitable for a range of professional applications. But for video clips during photo shoots – it rocks.

  6. Very well done. What program did you use to edit the video? Did you shoot in b&w or desaturate in post production?
