2013 is an exciting year for photographers. The race amongst camera makers continues. Competition is good, it accelerates innovation, keeps pricing somewhat sane and gives us plenty of choices. The last thing we need is a single company monopolizing the market. Without healthy competition, two of my favorite, most amazing cameras probably wouldn’t exist, the Fuji X100s and the Ricoh GR. Snap shot of the day: my bike is safe
When I spotted this bike William Eggleston’s iconic tricycle shot came to mind and I almost didn’t take the picture, until I saw the kit coming…..

Street photo of the day: Rain Dance: Ricoh GR
A good example of being in the right place at the right time. This is one of those situations where the GR really shines. This guy was climbing down to seek shelter as it started to rain, no way I could have nailed this shot without having the camera preset to zone focus.
