The GH4 has excellent image quality for a m43 sized sensor. Of course it can't compete with full frame when it comes to dynamic range and high ISO. As a bonus, it has blazing fast af speed, comparable to the Nikon D4s.

Thinking about getting a gh4. I would primarily be using it for video but I have heard lots of bad things about shooting stills with the gh4. What's your opinion on it?

Thanks David! If I had to choose between the 15mm and the Summilux 25mm, I would probably go with the 15mm, for now I am sticking with the 14mm and the 25mm as I prefer the tiny size and the slightly wider FOV on the 14mm.

Great photo mike! Micro 43s is lovely indeed, I love the size better compared to apsc. Have you tried the new pan 15 for street shooting?

Thanks John! I had no problems with the raw files, however, I mostly shot people, not foliage or other subjects with micro detail, I love the way that sensor renders skin, very film like.
I never found a workaround the swirlyesque noise pattern, which could be problematic if you have to crop and interpolate or if you pixel peep and 100-200%. One of the reasons I didn't use in on assignments much either, you never know, the client might want to crop heavily and that's when the files fall apart. Other then that, I love everything about that sensor.

Great post -- I long for the Fuji system, but I can't get by the hoops needed to really process their raw files. Has that been an issue for you at all ?
