Wow... I would think that the GH2 having a sensor (I'm guessing a number) two years newer then the one in the 5DII it would cope better with rolling shutter... It does 720p60 so the sensor is obviously faster at shuffling data, also Panasonic should have more video expertise then Canon, why is rolling shutter the same?

I've used both cameras and yes the GH2 is more video like, they both have pros and cons. 5DII is great in low light, the GH2 has less problem with aliasing, the fold out screen and white clip warning is very handy. The GH2 doesn't let you change ISO when rolling like the 5DII, and it doesn't to 1080p25 (Only 1080i50, 1080p24, 720p60) but hopefully a firmware change will fix that.

Hi mike
Have you used the 1:1 crop mode in the gh2. It seems like such a cool feature.
Panasonic seems to be on to something... plus the clean hdmi out seems like a big plus. Have you tried it yet? Oh...And for the money, a steal, eh.
However the only way I could justify a purchase of the gh2 would be if I didn't have anything else to do but to shoot and plan films or if my d90 broke. So it'll have to wait a year or two...
