I gaffed the cradle to the rubber holding bits and have had no problems since. Definitely an oversite on Rodes part.

it will not work with the Nex 5n since it doesn't have an external mic socket, it will work on the Nex 7 with this adapter.

Mike – does this fit on the Nex hot shoe or did you have to adapt it?
