Of course it was just a matter of time
Made the top 10 newcomer list on models.com. Congratulation Nastya! Check out the story and video we shot a little while ago (with the Nikon D800/E) after the break
WANTED, teaser: Nikon D800E from Mike Kobal on Vimeo.
If you happen to walk by a newsstand, check out the 10 page story in the current issue of Soma magazine. My first editorial with the Nikon D800E.
I prefer to think of the D800E as a medium format replacement rather then comparing it to the 5D mark III. The D800E shines in the studio, insane resolution AND high ISO, something I could have only dreamed of with medium format gear. This makes the D800E truly unique and gives us lots of flexibility for lighting. For this particular shoot I used fluorescent lighting and snapped a few video clips. Medium format would require a lot more lighting power or studio strobes. Personally, I prefer continuous lighting for a softer feel, especially for editorials and beauty. Even with strobes, the ability to shoot at higher ISO has advantages. Smaller and lighter power packs without sacrificing control over depth of field and faster recycling times. The D800E is my medium format replacement and puts a smile on my face every time I reach for it.

Hi Senaida, graded just means I did some color corrections in post. You just play with the color controls in the program you use to put your video together. Yes, I hear you, the A77 is fantastic, except for low light it isn’t so good, you could try to get high speed lenses, like a 50mm 1.4, hope this helps
I just watched your video, what does the graded and ungraded mean and how can I accomplish that … I have a Sony DSLR A77? I am doing vedeography of a wedding and the lighting is exceptionally low and im getting the spots all over … How do i make it clear and brong in more lighting? Please Help, Thank You…. Senaida Ortiz
