My latest editorial for Soma magazine, nostalgia, vintage t-shirts, retro look. And our model Anna. We shot this on a windy, blistering cold day. Create a dreamy, warm look, wait for a better weather, not possible, deadline. Shoot in the studio, too boring. The objective was not to kill the model and also not to get killed by the model! I cut one outfit as it was too cold and believe that saved my life. Anna was happy about that and let me live (she was fantastic by the way, not so sure many models would be able to work in these conditions and make it look so easy and good) I think the team did a great job and we pulled it off, I wish we could have shot much more and much longer (we did this in two and a half hours) but for now I hope you enjoy this short and a bit silly, little teaser, I plan to do another shoot with Anna in the spring! Equipment: Canon 5D2, 50mm 1.2, Vari filter, iDC run&gun, Zacuto Z finder, tripod and a bean bag. Just to get an idea, it was so cold and windy, my eyes filled up with tears I had a very hard time focusing. (check the plants in the opening photo, you will get the idea).
Special thanks to my friend Olivier Boni, who wrote the music for this clip, check out his work here: http://obny.fr/site/
