Well first let me congratulation for this video, photo was just excellent. This week I will get my Canon 5D, I’m so confuse about lenses because what I see so now are so expensive and I don’t have experience with photography, I need this Canon for a documentary. What do you recommend me? I was thinking about Canon 50mm 1.2.

Just to clarify one question — “do you have to get people to agree to be videoed ? do you ever run into issues ?” — you can always shoot anyone in public places.

So are these clips shot at 30p and then conformed to 24p? Or shot at 60p and conformed to 30p or 24p? Just curious about the slo-mo, it looks fabulous.

Really enjoyed seeing this video and the comments are very useful to someone new to video. Although I am sure it’s a tough question to answer, if you were only able to use the 7D or 5D, which would choose and why? I think your answer would be useful to anyone else interested in capturing this type of streetscape video in a variety of lighting conditions which adds so much mood to your work.

thanks David and Roger. Vimeo was down today,had to post it on YouTube. as for problems, I often ask people (not in this case) and move on if they don’t agree. this was shot street photography style and the photographer usually does not communicate with his subjects.
